Wedding announcement goes viral after groom's ex publicly reveals he cheated on her when he met the bride

After catching up on some interesting threads from the past (I now know the legend that is Terrie and the Towel!), I feel like this is a story that could have been on VJ. :P

When Nikyta Moreno saw her ex-husband in the New York Times' Wedding section, it came with a startling realization: He had been cheating on her. Now, after publishing her side of the story, the internet has her back.

"According to the (New York Times) article, the couple, Rob and Lauren, started their relationship in January 2017. It also said that he had never been married. That was news to me — because I was his wife in January 2017," Moreno wrote in a piece for the New York Post.

"We split in late March of that year, officially divorcing in January 2018, and I never exactly understood why. Until I read about it in the Times."

Do papers still print engagement and wedding announcements?  Beyond that, what is actually new here?  They guy is a cad, and more than likely he will cheat on his next wife.

I actually just got done reading this story on the Dailymail. If I were here I would be surprised as well since she is a very pretty woman

Some people are just serial cheaters.  Quite some time ago, I worked in a rather large manufacturing plant, it was amazing to hear the stories of cheating even within that closed environment.  So many ex's working in the same location can be interesting.

Now this one is sad.

Facing divorce for being infertile, woman sets fire to house

A woman in North Hamgyong Province who faced divorce for being infertile recently set the house of her in-laws on fire, killing everyone inside, Daily NK has learned.

“A woman in her early 30s who was married to the son of the head of the Kumya County’s Ministry of State Security (MSS)’s political department was found to be infertile,” a source in North Hamgyong Province told Daily NK on Aug. 28. “When her in-laws demanded a divorce, she set their house on fire in revenge, murdering the entire family.”

According to the source, who requested anonymity for security reasons, the woman was taken to the provincial maternity hospital by her in-laws after she had failed to become pregnant during her five years of marriage. The hospital tests showed that she was infertile. Upon receiving this news, her in-laws – including her father-in-law, the head of the political department of the Kumya County MSS – told the woman to leave their house.

The woman, whose family lives in Sinpo, was angered by the decision and decided to report the incident to the provincial party committee instead of returning home. The provincial party committee’s processing department, however, responded that it could not process her petition on a Saturday. In response, the woman decided to file a complaint with the communist party in Pyongyang and went to the train station to buy a ticket to the capital city.

Yeah, it doesn't really matter how attractive the spouse at home is, how compassionate/intelligent/caring, etc. Some people are just going to cheat, and cheat again.

That story about the woman in North Korea is awful. :(

Yeah I was one of those people in the past before I met my wife unfortunately. But I haven't cheated since we got married back in 2012.

I have never bought into the whole "once a cheater" thing. I think people can change if they want to and put the thought into carrying that out. :)
