Hey guys,

Hope everyone is doing well this weekend

I just had one question about I-134 forum. It says something to the effect that I must have my bank write a letter for me stating, date opened, amount in the past year, and current balance.

1. Is this true do I need to do this?

2. I changed banks in the last year so I might have a few problems

3. The I-134 needs to be notized or the bank statement or both?

4. Any other information you help with.

Ok so it was more like four things. Really thank you for your help.

You only need the bank stuff if you can't show sufficient income through your tax returns, letter from your employer, and pay stubs. If your income is sufficient, don't bother with the bank portion of it. Don't give them more than is necessary.

If, however, you do need to show your bank information to prove you have enough money to support someone, you would unfortunately need the letter from the officer of your bank. Only the I-134 needs to be notarized.

If you do have to submit a bank letter, and you're worried about this because of changing banks could you go to your previous bank and request this information from them as well? It would show your banking history up until you closed out. Then a letter from your new bank would show from date of opening up to your current history/balance.

Just the I-134 needs notarising.

Just a suggestion...make at least three copies of your entire package. Just to be on the safe side. :)
