Montreal Embassy (slowly) restarting K1 Visa Processing

Obviously this isn't as good as saying "we're back on track" but this is the best consulate-related K1 visa news I've seen in ages. Hopefully this is a sign the DOS is considering opening other embassies up! If nothing else, it's good to see SOME good news during this uncertain time!

Yes, our cases was just updated from "refused" to "administrative processing"

That's not all they did. They also added an "posts are authorized to give K visa cases high priority" statement.

My case was just updated again!

 

Now it says "Issued" and it looks like it take about 5 days for shipping.

 

I didn't think they would be working this fast! I'm flying over the moon right now.

 

I hope the happy news travels to alot of people soon!

Hey Sarah!

Just out of curiousity, what day in March was your Fiance's interview on? I know K-1s are usually just on Wednesdays for the Montreal Consulate so I'm doing a little mental calculation of when they might get to us who had interviews that was cancelled
