All of those questions are a mystery.  If we had that kind of info I'm sure it would be easier to find. My NOA2 was April 9 and I received p3 last week. I sent it back that day and now I wait to see how long p4 will take. I'm ready for an interview any day.

Just to clarify as there is some confusion around this I believe. That April 9 date was when you got your approval from USCIS and your case was sent to the NVC? Or is that when the NVC created your case number on the state department's side?

My approval was April 28th or so. The case wasn't created at the NVC until June 15.

We received and sent our P3 today. Did you happen to get an auto response from the consulate when you sent your P3? We usually get it when we send an email but didn’t get it this time. It looks like this

Howdy.

Our case now says "ready"

Do we wait for our P3?

Or do we have to fill in any docs?

Been hunting around on here and have seen different references to first ready and second ready etc...

any help would be awesome!

thanks!

Now you just wait for P3. You can start filling out DS160 but don’t submit it until you receive p3

Hey all,

After being "in limbo" for so long during covid, my fiancé and I are thrilled to finally get an interview date that we've been waiting for since submitting Package #3 on January 6th.

My interview date is in Montreal for March 15th.

This news comes after I saw my case get "updated" on February 2nd.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting, I'm guessing some of you will be receiving similar news!

When was your NOA2? And when did you get the interview date? Just this morning? congrats!

Did your P3 come via email? or was it mailed out in paper form.

Why does it matter when you do/dont submit the ds160?

I got my NOA2 in Feb 2020, actually. Covid and other circumstances delayed me temporarily from moving forward.  I ended up not submitting everything needed for packet 3 until Jan 2021. After waiting since then, I got an interview date this morning, for March 15th.

Ours came via beneficiary email but it can come via mail too. I've also seen where it goes to the petitioner and doesn't even come to the beneficiary, so I'd keep a look out

It doesn't really matter when you submit ds 160. I've never ever seen people get in trouble or anything if they submitted ds 160 before getting p3. You're just officially not supposed to submit until p3

Yes I did get that message soon after sending p3.

My NOA2 was dated April 9 and my case was created at nvc around April 24? Both in April though.

Sorry for double posting but I just checked my status after reading the good news here. My case was updated again on Feb 8, and I had just sent in my p3 last week.

I'm very excited for possible news coming soon.

Yes I sent in my P3 on feb 8th and got an update yesterday feb 10th. I’m getting excited and hoping for an interview date maybe next week or as early as tomorrow!

Yeah, looks like we're in the same wave of processing. It's nice to have input from more people around the same timelines. Grats

You should join the fb groups Montreal K1 Visa Applicants and Canadian K1 and Spousal Visa Groups. Those two groups have kept me sane these past several months. And people post their progress consistently and frequently on there. There’s quite a few of us who got P3’s early February and I think they’re waiting for most of us to send it back so they can proceed scheduling our interviews
