Looks like we already knew...I see no change.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Looks like they felt some pressure to make a statement about the K1 visas

but nothing changed

all still wait for the embassies to get the  "go head to open"

I saw this too and took it as good news, but with all the negative reactions I'm a little confused. Our consulate in Canada is open for rescheduled spousal visas and said K1s aren't mission critical so they aren't processing them yet. I assumed this statement meant they are now allowed to be processed?

I would say it is for Canada as it says "as local conditions and resources allow" and must be Canada is good to go

Only as conditions in each country allow....as has always been the case.

The DOS just posted this on their site:  https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/important-notice-for-k-visa-applicants-affected-by-covid-19.html

Is this... good news? or is this the same thing we've been hearing for the past 6 months but just about K1 visas?

I'm a little glad to have some news very specifically calling out K1 visas but I can't tell if it's good news or just the same as always. Any thoughts?

All the embassies have gradually been posting about K1s at different times over the past couple weeks. I think they’re just fed up of people asking and don’t take it as good news. Maybe I’m just being pessimistic cause we’re almost getting used to not receiving any good news.

Basically, this is nothing new. It's literally the same language they've been using. For the countries affected by the proclamation, nothing will change. For others, well, they might see movement.

So as far as i understand by this announcement K1 visas around the world is going to be processing and it depends on the each countries covid conditions.

So k1 is not effected by President Trump’s Order and we don’t have to wait till next year. Am I right guys?

This is from the Montreal Consulate Twitter. They said before they weren't being processed but now they are. So I believe for those consulates that are open this is good news.

This is definitely different and good news. We might start seeing some movement!!

Correct.  K-1 visas have not been suspended as have some immigrant visas.
