Hello,

My sister's I-130 has been on Friday. I learned thia when through email notification from USCIS.  I also just changed the address on the account because I moved to a new house. I have not the received the notice in mail yet.

What I want to know now, what happen's next?

Do I have to do something on my end?

Is my sister going to get notified by mail to her house?

Is there any place I can learn the process in general so I can let my sister know so she can be prepared.

Any help on this is appreciated!

Thanks!

Nothing will happen until her priority date is current.  What is her priority date and what country?

YMMV

It's impossible to know exactly what is next without knowing the Priority Date (PD) of the I-130.

Most likely, the PD is not current yet. They tend to approve the I-130 years before the PD is current for F4 preference (sibling of a USC).

For F4, the PD is taking between 14-22 years to become current from I-130 filing depending on country.

If the PD is not past the Dates For Filing date in the Visa Bulletin, it will sit at NVC until the Dates for Filing date is reached. Then paperwork can be sent to start the process. Then waiting again until the PD is current (using the Final Action Date). The visa cannot be issued before the PD is current.

Well I don't know what PD is I applied for her back in September 2010 and it is approved last Friday. And the email said the information is being to Department of State for further process.

She lives in Paksitan.

Then PD will be around September 2010.  F4 is at present current for priority dates before September 2006, so you have at least another 4 years (probably a little longer) till she will be able to get a visa.

Yes, it will be sent to DoS (NVC within that to be precise) for further processing, but then it will sit there until closer to the time when a visa is available for her. This page https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/step-2-begin-nvc-processing.html and the following ones may make the process a bit more clear.  Note particularly the section that talks about visa numbers being limited in some categories, as this applies here.

Does your sister have any children and if so, how old are they?

She is married with 2 kids and a husband.

Thank you so so much with all the responses and taking the time to type up responses for me. I really appreciate all of you.

The reason the age of the children has been asked is because if the children are too old, they will not be able to migrate with your sister.
