Hi Everyone,

I’m new here.
I have 2 year greencard form CR1 (Thailand)

I sent my I-751 Package on September 15,2020

Got extension letter September 21,2020

now status still show up as Case was received.
I saw to many people sent their case  in the same month with got waive fingerprints.
I’m not sure why my case can not reused fingerprints.
and also I ask 8 People form my country the came come CR1 visa in the same years all of Them have their I-751 application at MSC (That’s mean they have to be interview. )

I wonder why they My I-751 application have to sent to Protomac.

I have tourists visa before . Come here before I got greencard couple time. But never have fingerprints appointment inside United State at USCIS Office. Just only have fingerprints with Immigration when I came by tourist visa and CR1 visa

My case is at 165 days and no fingerprints yet, if that makes you feel any better.

I think there's just long delays all around at the moment.

Hey Guys, September filer here! NOA1 was October 1st. I’ve just noticed that my case updated on the 15th saying “show fingerprints were taken” I’ve had a quick look on this thread, but can’t seem to find much. Does this mean my biometrics will be waived? Also my case is “LIN” Nebraska I believe? Does anyone know if this is a quick(er) or slower office? I’m for sure going to get a request for evidence which sucks! I forgot the affidavits! Thanks in advance! Levi 442694E2-D69D-4D3E-B391-5BC61D69F6BF.thumb.jpeg.d0d76a766c8dcb5934adf415ebdb8a4f.jpeg

What’s kind of visa that you have before.
I have CR1 but my application sent to Protomac Not MSC.

Yeah mine has been at MSC for 179 days with no biometric appointment yet. I’ve seen others from may and June 2020 fillers only got their Biometric Appointments in Dec 2020 and Jan 2021, so hopefully within the next few months we should get an appointment. If you haven’t done Biometrics in the US, I read somewhere that they can’t reuse your finger prints because there are none to reuse in their system, as the international system is different and they are only checking your background outside the us but now your in the us they need to take them here to have in their systems here, so unfortunately for most CR1 cases they won’t be reused fingerprints. Don’t worry to much, yours probably just went to Potomac as they had to many at MSC at the time so they send them to other centers to lighten the load a bit. Unfortunately MSC and Potomac are slower centers so we’ll just have to wait.

Is that true that I can apply for Citizenship even if my adjustment of status has not been decided yet?
If this is true, those who came with a K1 visa (marriage) will be able to apply for citizenship in September this year (green card expired in  Dec 2020)?

You can apply for naturalization 90 days before the 3rd anniversary of the issue date on your green card.

Have you checked your online account? What is the first 3 letters of you case number, EAC?

why some people don't do biometric??

They got mine on 1 sept and by the 27th I got my Biometrics waived as did most Sept filers for EAC. Dont know why you would have been left out. You could try calling but from what I read that is not an easy task. When prompted for a reason for the call reply technical difficulty to all prompts. I have read that this has been the best way to talk to a real person.

PS fill out your timeline info.
