I just received alert today saying my case as been transfer to another office...pls someone tell me what that means?

Visiting..b1  b2

What Frank said. Usually they sort it out and decide who might/should get an interview. No science to this but from what I have read thats what happens. Fear not , the toughest part is the wait.

Hello guys, I thought I will post this here; it can help someone. If you are desperate to talk a live person at the USCIS, create an online account and leave them a message from your account, and they will call you back. It take them 14 days to call me back but it was worth it, and I got the answer to my question.

The Fees never went up, Here read this article, https://www.forbes.com/sites/stuartanderson/2020/09/30/judge-blocks-uscis-fee-increases-heres-why-it-happened/?sh=3f02d668583a  Blocked by a judge days before it was to take effect. What you did do wrong was send it to the wrong address. That changed to the Arizona address on August 19th 2020. Send them a new Petition, probably the only way you will get your letter before your card expires.

This is so confusing because when I checked everyday our case status online using the receipt number with Notice date September 14, 2020 it says in teh update that "My Petition was rejected for INCORRECT FEE" they also provided a copy of the new fees for all petition so we immediately sent back our petition with the correct fee with the previous address we used on the 1st filing.

If your presumption that we sent it in the wrong old address we sent it via  overnight UPS Service they should not accepted it and return it to us but according to UOS Tracking somebody received in the name of Mr. Robinsons.

So usually the person who receives it, is only responsible of receving it. They won't know until it actually goes into the office and that the personel start to check the content. That is when they will reject your document and say that you send the wrong address. But they would receive anything you send, even if you send N-400 to there. They won't refuse to accept it when UPS or whatever delivers it. (But doesn't mean your documents gets accepted into the system).

Even if someone send an application to the wrong address, they do have to enter the info into the system and issue a notice that the application is returned. They don't simply turn it down at the door

But yes I agree with you that it is really weird that they say the fee is incorrect. What is the new fee they ask you to send?

And also the case you attached here only pertains to Hb1..etc which is totally irrelevant to our petition.

But actually it applies to everybody. If you check the USCIS website, they stop talking about the fee increase.

The fee increase suppose to be in effect early October, so no matter if what he said is wrong or right (Actually it is right), you can see clearly it is always the same $595+$85. You can also check this post:

Everybody in October sent their documents with the original fee (Not increased fee).  It is true that USCIS is weird about how they deal with your case, but there is no need to doubt the fact that the fee didn't increase and it is their fault how they reject you. (But also, you never mentioned how much fee they request you to send on the receipt. So it is hard to say)

Since everybody in this post, and those in October post sent the same fee. So there are only two possibilities: Eithet USCIS is wrong or you are wrong.

Since you assert that you sent the correct amount, then for sure here it is USCIS fault. So now I think you can send a new petition as Bob has said, and maybe meanwhile ask what happened to the case you sent to Texas (Destroyed? Returned? etc)

A federal judge granted a motion for a preliminary injunction against a far-reaching U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) fee rule. The rule would increase fees on businesses, new citizens, international students needing work authorization and others. The fees were scheduled to go into effect on October 2, 2020.

“As long as this preliminary injunction is in place, USCIS can’t raise fees,

That is the opening to that article. it applies to all petitions. The H1B was the subject of the lawsuit.

We submitted our I-751 in August was returned to us. I resent in September and they received at the Dallas Lockbox September 28. If I understand, the second time we submitted, the mailing address had changed to Arizona,

We have been waiting 6 weeks for the Money Order to be cashed. Do you think they will forward to Arizona or return to us. After 6 weeks we don’t know what to do.

wouldn't it be nice if they can forward it? but they do not. At least I have not hear of that transfer yet, and your package might be coming back to you.
