I submitted my application on 11th, it was received 14th, but I still havent received  a receipt number or I-797. I called up USCIS and gave the A number and they said no I-751 is in their system. They said it should take 15 days max from the day they receive to generate a receipt number. I submitted a fee waiver, but they said that shouldnt delay things. I am worried if its lost at Lock box. My USPS tracking shows it was delivered to lock box on 14th.

Anyone in similar situation ? Any advises  ?

this is definitely an odd case.

I got my I-797 about 2 weeks and 2 days later ... from the day they received my package.

If they are sending it back to you it should get there in a week or so. Takes about 3 weeks for a return

If they haven't sent you a receipt and they have no record of it they might be sending it back to you for some reason. Takes about 3 weeks to get it back.

Filled out the spreadsheet and fully realized my local office is now a 5 hour drive. Guess I had it easy on the East Coast...

For those who are more in the loop than me, how common is it to require biometrics after AOS? I'm going to be at least a bit peeved if I have to drive 10 hours to take fingerprints after having provided them to USCIS and CBP at least half a dozen times.

Its a hit or miss thing, nothing set in stone. With that being said where they have gotten you so many times before they might skip you to help with the back log. Only they can tell you for sure. I say you have a good chance of them being waived.

God I hope so. I love road trips, but not while under duress. I saw you guys had them waived, seems to be a pattern. I assume others had to do the fingerprints again recently, even if the original set was done in the US?

I guess I just wait and see, but I'd like to mentally prepare for a drive, possibly with a toddler, depending on which day we're talking.
