Yeah those are the best ones, there’s also another app that tracks your case and gives you an estimate on when your case might be approved based off previous cases from the same service center. https://www.lawfully.com download the app. I only just recently found out about it and it’s pretty useful you can also chat with people from the Same or similar timelines that can help if you need questions answered.

Thanks a lot for the recommendation. It is a really great app!

There is no official ones but there are some third-party ones available:

For Android, I prefer: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spinachsoftware.immigration.uscis.casestatus

For Apple, I use: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/case-tracker-for-uscis/id921827126

Both of them, you can check cases near you and you can see what their status. Because I have an Android phone and an iPad so I use both.

I installed the ios (apple) one. It asks for USCIS user name - is this the email id I signed up for USCIS account (USCIS doesnt have a user name and one signs in with email and a password). Anyway I entered this and the app says only 15 characters allowed for username. !

Actually, I didn't enter the USCIS account number as it is optional to allow the software automatically pull case from the system.

Happens that I forgot my password for the account, so I just added the case manually by entering the receipt number

I will try this and see if it provide a different experience. I have always used the USCIS case tracker, which only tells you when something happen on your case. No timeline or anything. Thanks for sharing

Hi Everyone,

I sent my package 9/21 and it was received on 9/22 By FEDEX. My card was attempted to be charged tonight however my bank flagged the charge as fraud and reversed the charge. Will USCIS send back my application ? How? What fee will I have to pay now that I am closet to October 2nd? My GC expires 12/18/20. Do I need to explain why I had to re-send ?

If you send before October 2nd, you will be fine by paying the old fee. It is only if the package is "postmarked" on and after October 2nd that has to pay the new fee.

I don't know if you can contact your bank and reverse the charge again. I know that USCIS will not attempt a 2nd try to charge your credit card, according to the instructions, they destroy your information once they entered the information into the system regardless whether or not this transaction is sucessful or not. So I suggest you prepare for the worst scenario where you have to wait for your package to return. And it is better to inform your bank not to block your card next time. (I don't see how USCIS can be marked as fraud)

If your pacakge has been returned, it is rejected due to incorrect payment (I believe so). So if you resend again, they know why you are sending again. So you don't have to worry, nobody else has received your documents besides lockbox for now

I asked the bank to try and put the transaction through and they said no. When will I receive my documents back ? and how ? Can I re-send the same documents ?

Yes that is the tricky part. Some people waited one or two weeks to receive the document. Most likely, it will be by USPS

I have heard that they mark stuff on your forms, so I suppose you have to reprint the form. But I suppose for other documents they have not marked yet, so u can use the same. (But maybe wait for a more accurate answer, I can't remeber who but for sure there are one or two in our thread that have similar experience with re-sending document due to error: Send to the wrong lockbox ex)

That is what I am not exactly sure.

I just heard from our thread that some of them received the documents back and the lockbox have already marked something on the form, so you cannot reuse them in this case I suppose.

But maybe wait till tomorrow when more members of our thread woke up, so they can give you more details. (Especially those who have lived similar experience) :)

Could I call USCIS and get them to take the payment over the phone ?
