Hey guys! I’m new here, even though I’ve been reading for a while since I’m getting my package ready to send off the end of this week ! I’m crazy nervous that I’m going to forget something , I really hope not 🙈🙈🙈

move got a question though

which way should I send my package off? Which postal service is the best to use? I’m glad I’ve checked here so I at least know that I have to send it to Arizona now!

which kind of envelope did you guys use? Would I be allowed to send it priority?
also, how did you organize your papers? Are we allowed to file it somehow ?
sorry, that I have so many questions!

so basically we have to send these even though our info are not 100 percent clear? do you think if we request them by mail it will come with full info?

I dont know if the mail one is different but these work fine. These are what USCIS would like for tax returns. Even though some of your ID info is missing USCIS can see that they are yours and you have filed.  Two out of the 3 I sent for my 485 were like this and all 3 of my 751 was like this.

It is more a situation like "If you know, you know". If i don't know you, and I randomly find this trascript, I certainly won't know who are the people they are talking about here with only few letters of the name.

But certainly not the case of USCIS, who knows whose application they are looking to. So surely they won't say this belongs to someone else, if they saw the name and the address.

Personally I am not a big fan of national postal service haha. So I chose with UPS.

I sent with the fastest speed (One day delivery) because I don't really like to wait. But of course you don't have to do this, if you don't really care, you can send it with a cheaper speed. But certainly it is better to add the signature option so that you know someone received it.

I put mine in a small box and printed label online. I also wrote "I-751 Original Submission" on my folder cover and also on the box so that they don't mistaken my pacakge for another application or so.

I requested mine by mail and it’ll have your info on the first page then the next page with the tax transcript on it will be the same as the downloaded one. I thought if I got it by mail it would show all the info but it looks like they’re no longer doing that.

Like others have said it’s up to you really which you think is the quickest in your area. I sent mine through USPS and had to use a Large Priority mail box as mine was about 5 inches thick and didn’t fit in a medium size box. So I put it together with 2 inch ACO fasteners. Then I put it in a file jacket that expands 5inches with a elastic band around the top to keep all the papers neat and stop it from getting ruined. I’ll add pictures of mine so you have an idea of what you can do. I had a lot of questions too, but it’s always better to ask questions to know what you’re doing is right. :)

Hi,

Is it possible that airline will deny borading even when we present an expired green card and a valid extension letter?

If yes, is there anyway to do regarding this situation? Because I read on the I-131 A instruction form that from USCIS side, these two are valid documentations. But I believe that sometimes are all agents are aware of this, and they are worried to board someone without a valid (that they consider) documentation.

Thanks!

From what I have read Extension letter plus expired card is valid to travel. That said most big airlines know this policy. Lets say you are taking a smaller local airline for one of the legs for onward journey to US, they might not understand the extension letter. You might have to convince them then. Carry USCIS memo or any such information pertaining to travelling on extension letter with you to prove that its legal to do so. Airlines are always worrying about ferrying a passenger with invalid visa to US and getting fined for that.
