Totally confusing posts on here

profile is a woman, Evelyn, and bought man from Turkey here in 2012

and reading the timeline she writes (way down in timeline/i love these things)

We are separated. He has another woman. they will have a child. She is illegal

So,  who writes now?  green card husband???

Good catch @Jeanne Adil

To add to this, seems the issue of the other woman was known way long ago even before ROC as the comment for this issue was written under POE section. This was 2012, so why is it being brought up now? Looks like this was a marriage for GC. Is the illegal lady a former/ true love and Turkish too?

Since the OP isn't straightforward with the story, I wouldn't be surprised if the older daughter is his too and that she's 7 or 8 years old because as of 2012, there was a child on the way. As of 2020, they're set to have twins.

Finally, I'm surprised the two ROCed knowing there was another woman involved.  Which makes me believe it was a GC marriage

I find it so helpful to look at timeline and read important past posts and even embassy reviews before answering

as the one time i didn't (was in a hurry) i messed up / posting page said K1 and the person was actually here and doing AOS and didn't mention it

AOS fee for affivadit of support are same initials as AOS for adjusting of status so i messed up

i usually also ask members to make a timeline,  keep it up especially from my country and embassy (so important)

yes, good catch. As there was only one post and account was created about  2 months back, it didn’t even occur to me to check the timeline.

Re the comment about other woman - this timeline would have been recently created here given account age - so I  wouldn’t necessarily assume the wife knew at that time of entry or ROC, she may have just thought that was the only place to put it. Odd to add a timeline and put in something like that with no associated posts, though.

Whoever OP actually is - the sponsoring spouse, the sponsored spouse, the “friend” - they haven’t been back since they posted. I hope the wife divorces him and gets on with her own life and not get involved in any of this mess. And it is a mess, because he can’t naturalize any time soon, and he can’t legalize his girlfriend, and as pointed out above there are probably going to be significant costs associated with the birth, and even if he is insured he can’t add his gf on to his insurance ...etc.

Note that there is an older VJ account associated with the same timeline: https://www.visajourney.com/profile/110577-evelyn1140/ The older account had 773 public posts.

I didn’t know VJ allowed that, but thanks. I guess there would be a lot of background there..Just. from the two previews above looks like the wife went through a lot already

ROC was in early 2016. So I'd think his N400 window opened long ago.

I don’t think the TOS does allow it. Interestingly @evelyn1140@ looked at @evelyn1140 profile in June.

Will this be another thread like the tale of the sweaty towel?

It looks like he came here long enough ago that he could be a citizen now, and divorced, and totally able to adjust his girlfriends status.

But because he hadn’t done it yet, he’s kaiboshed it with the adultery, which will become obvious from listing his children’s birth dates on the form. See post on previous page, it is a bar to meeting the good moral character requirement.

Original post says he is a green card holder still and still married to sponsoring spouse. Adultery is a bar to GMC. That will delay his naturalizing.  He didn’t seem to think things through - you are correct, this could all have been “fixed” for him already if he had planned it properly, by naturalizing before the adultery would have been obvious from his details on the n400 form.

what is the tale of the sweaty towel? I must have missed that one :pop:

i am sure it did but he is still married (he says) and this wife would not help at this point ( I can only hope she wouldn't)

and to do on his own ,  he is committing adultery so who knows how the interview would go

True but I suspect this is the wounded (ex)spouse posting to see if he had a chance of fixing it without her knowing, he could have divorced by publication and remarried if he claimed to not know where she was.

Below is the tale of the towel, one of the more entertaining threads that I hope isn’t real given the final development - she then basically smuggled the ‘niece’ into the country.

Will read the story.

he will still need to have become a citizen in the interim to successfully sponsor the new spouse for a green card/AOS, spouse of a LPR is not forgiven overstay.

I had a twin pregnancy while oos.  I got lucky and had a local community health center that was inexpensive plus the birth ended up being covered by emergency Medicaid (definitely not my first choice but was an emergency c section).  My twins were born healthy and didn’t need nicu time thankfully but I still would not want to do it again

I’m sorry for my ignorance here... I’m trying to keep up with the thread. what’s ROC? ☺️

removal of conditions where you get a permanent green card for 10 years instead of conditional that you only get 2 years on marriage to a US citizen/green card holder
