I had my k1 visa approved at the beginning of the year, I didn’t get to schedule my interview because there wasn’t any available appointment date, then covid19 happened. I’ve been religiously checking for new appointments opening, today I realized that appointments are now available, with the earliest being November 9, 2021. This is so depressing. Anyone else going through the same ordeal? 😔

Just to be clear, your K-1 visa has not yet been approved.  Perhaps you meant the US citizen's I-129F petition was approved.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Yeah Jamaica's system does that from time to time last time it did everyone saw one date in February. I think it might be a glitch.

Per DOS:

Important Notice for K visa applicants affected by COVID-19

Last Updated: August 31, 2020

Effective August 28, as it becomes safe to resume more consular operations at each U.S. mission, posts are authorized to give K visa cases high priority.  Applicants should check the website of their nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate for updates on what services that post is currently able to offer. The I-129F Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) is typically valid for four months; however, consular officers may revalidate the I-129F petition in four month increments.  For most cases impacted by the suspension of routine visa services or COVID-19 travel restrictions it will not be necessary to file a new I-129F petition.

So hang in there. US Embassy JA is due to have a live broadcast via Nationwide 90 FM on facebook today. Watch for updates, ask questions in the comments or call

8766309371, 8766309372, 8766309373, 8766309374 or 8766188255 to ask the COs directly during the live broadcast.

Thank you. I saw the update and have been waiting for them to say something. I know that some countries already released statements about resuming k1 visas. 🙏🙏

Do you what time they’ll be airing live?

Ok, cool. What did they say about K1s?

They’ll be resuming as soon as possible and we’ll get updates in the coming weeks.
