Is just a divorce decree okay or is the marriage certificate also needed?

I'm helping a friend apply for her N-400 and in reading the naturalization application, instructions, and document checklist, it's not clear to me if the applicant can submit only the divorce decree or would also require the marriage certificate (despite the marriage ending in divorce and the fact that the divorce decree could only come from them having been married in the first place). She has the divorce decree but obtaining the marriage certificate would be cumbersome. Thank you!

Is says “or” instead of “and” in each list, so I suppose only the divorce decree is okay,  but I wanted to check here for clarity.

Where do the instructions require a marriage certificate?  She would need a marriage certificate ONLY if filing under the 3 year rule....which I assume she is not.
