GREENCARD INTERVIEW- TAX RETURNS OR TRANSCRIPTS?

I submitted my tax returns and form 1099s to the NVC. I did not submit my tax transcripts. My petition was approved by the NVC.

 

My wife's interview is in less than a month. Since the interview letter, NVC website, etc. says my wife should bring the original copies of the documents (tax returns, 1099s) I submitted to the NVC, does this mean she does not need to bring copies of my tax transcripts?

 

I will probably send the tax transcripts to be safe, but am wondering if this is important.

Where do you see that NVC requires original copies of tax documents?

 

The only originals the embassy needs is the civil documents, see

This is what I would do. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

The NVC doesn't need the originals... it says that she should bring the originals to the appointment. The tax transcripts are not among them and it will take 5 days to receive them (i have to wait to register online to get the transcripts). Is this really necessary? 

 

Please no better safe than sorry. A specific personal experience that could be referenced would be greatly appreciated.

Again where did you see originals of tax documents were required?   Copies of the tax transcripts maybe, but not originals.  Tax returns plus all the w2s and any schedules showing your income are sufficient instead of the tax transcript.  Otherwise the NVC would not have DQd the application and sent it to the embassy.
