How long till visa issued?

Hi guys,

I had my interview on Monday, September 24th (in the morning) and I was given 221(g) pending my medical exam results. He said once they have the results, everything will be fine and they will process my visa. 
 

I called visa medical on Tuesday (Sept 25) and they confirmed they sent my results to the embassy Monday afternoon. My case status went from “Refused” to “Administrative Processing” on Wednesday, Sept 26 and has been like that since. 
 

How long does it take till the visa will be issued and sent to the pick up location? Can you please share your timelines with me?

Administrative processing shouldn’t take more than a few days, assuming there are no other issues than the missing medical. I would check again Tuesday as they likely will be closed for the Bank Holiday on Monday. Maybe they had a lot of staff take Friday off to make a nice long weekend?

I just got my visa after an interview with the US embassy. Interview was on Monday. Wednesday morning it was in AP. Wednesday afternoon it was issued. And I just picked my passport up today.

Yeah, I suppose so. I saw that other people who got Administrative Processing on Wednesday had their status change to Issued later that day or the next day. I hope mine will change too, soon. Hopefully on Tuesday

Woops, I just realized I said September dates. I meant August for all of them, as we're not even in September yet haha

Same exact situation as you, case went from refused to AP on the 26th, still haven’t been issued. I wouldn’t worry at all! Seems we’re both on the same boat!

Thanks for sharing. I just saw that some people who got AP on Wednesday got their visa issued later that day or next day, so I was wondering if I was the only one in this situation or not. I hope we'll hear something next week!! Please let me know if you have any updates with your case

Mine has been sitting at refused, I had my interview the day after you, but for a K1, which is worse cos they have to mail in their medical and can't use e-med. Ugh. The waiting game sucksssss
