It will not happen. Interview is not only for legitimacy but for security purpose also.

but you do need to go thru the process to get the child's US citizenship and US passport

I think others will chime in on how to do this as i don't know the requirements but i would imagine a DNA test is needed

and Congratulations on the new addition

We all feel that (even the ones who go thru the process fast)

i made my 1st application in 2009 and got his visa in 2015

but once she is here,  you'll be surprised how fast time will fly and she becomes a citizen

sorry that you are missing some important days in the beginning of you little girl's life  as they grow up too fast

Just wondering if we could request for our interview to be waived cause we have a kid now?

Isn't the point of the green card interview to establish the legitimacy of the marriage and won't having a kid be the biggest proof ?!

Just curious?

A child is definitely not the biggest proof of a relationship - plenty of very real marriages produce no children and plenty of children are born to people who have no real relationship. It's only proof that you had sex.

As they are not looking for evidence that you have had a sexual relationship not relevant. I do seem to recollect people submitting what can only be described as graphic photographs, also not needed.

I remember reading something on the USCIS website to the effect of "do not include pornographic imagery as evidence". It's one of those things where you realize the only reason they had to say it is because someone did it before.

Oh, there have been stories on visa journey where some people did send adult content to USCIS, some by mistake and some because they thought it would help.

However, providing your child's birth certificate (not a video of the childbirth!) is very different and it is a piece of evidence.

No. In-person interview is required per 22 CFR 42.62(a): "Personal appearance of applicant before consular officer. Every alien applying for an immigrant visa, including an alien whose application is executed by another person pursuant to § 42.63(a)(2), shall be required to appear personally before a consular officer for the execution of the application or, if in Taiwan, before a designated officer of the American Institute in Taiwan, except that the personal appearance of any child under the age of 14 may be waived at the officer's discretion."
