According to the forum i just read and indian lady cousin make a similar mistake to open the envelope it was a big blunder but i hope it can rectify by informing the embassy and they going to reseal it but may cost the additional fees as i read in a forum where the same mistake was done by indian and it was reseal by the embassy with additional 335 $.

Hope it ease ur mind but such documents must be carefully dealt rather be neglected

That's the thing there are no numbers to get in touch with the embassy and they won't let me in unless I have an appointment and to make an appointment i have to email them and they reply back in 2 weeks

I heard there was a fee based telephone number you can call.

Anyway, The Embassy will re-seal the packet for you. And no, you don't have to pay again.

I am sorry, but do you know that your mother in law just did something that she is not allow to do and that she is not suppose to open other peoples mail.

I would be very mad at her.

I just answered you in the other thread you posted in, but I think you're probably desperate for info, so here goes again.

Read this thread from this week in the UK forum: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=74326

As you'll see, it is possible to get it turned around and back to you relatively quickly. It is probably worth making a phone call to the Visa Info line (known in the UK Forum as the Extortion Line, as it costs £1.20/min) on Monday when they re-open -- number is 09042-450-100. You will need to courier the whole packet and your passport back to the Embassy, with a note on why you need it resealed and how quickly you need it back.

Take a few deep breaths -- you'll be fine.
