HELP!!! AOS Interview Soon And Changing Work/Address

Hi Folks:

It's been a very busy two days, going from not having anything to getting a work permit (EAD) and an interview date of August 2, 2007. I am excited, but worried at the same time. I am currently in New Jersey and employed, but I was supposed to accept a new position in California and move there in a matter of a month or so (provided everything goes ok with my job contract). I was actually supposed to start my new job on August 6 and leave my New Jersey job in mid-July to sort out the move. I am not in the mood to delay the interview and would still be able to do it in New Jersey (I can stick around a bit for it and even book a ticket same day or the day after). But how does one deal with this situation in the interview as all the paperwork is based on the New Jersey job. My idea was that I could bring a copy of the job offer contract with me and explain that I will be moving very soon and am about to file the AR-11 right after the interview.

Anyone have any advice on this situation...it would be most appreciated.

I would do exactly what you have said you plan to do.... take a copy of your new job contract and a completed AR-11 (if you know your new address) and explain it to the interviewing officer.... they should be able to update your address so that your greencard get sent to your new address....

If your sponsor is your spouse and is moving with you, they need to fill out an I-865 (sponsor change of address).
