I don't even know what to say.

How about, "Hi, This is Rachel from card services..."  🤣  Okay okay okay... Just hoping a half-laugh might reverse the depression.

Anyway...  I'm concerned it could be that USCIS sent you something but it didn't end up in your mailbox... But then if they searched on your name and found no notification/receipt numbers that didn't happen... So...???  Continuing to hope for the best!

Yeah, I don't think that's it. Even if they rejected it, she would show up in the system. I got a reciept number for my rejected form so I just think that hers is delayed for whatever reason. So frustrating!!

I like that reference though, lol 😂

Thank you. That is comforting, knowing others have had waits this long. I am taking solace in that most rejections seem to know by now so hopefully that means it will be accepted.

Yeah, just try to not think about it too much!! I'm sure you'll see something any day. If you emailed the lockbox and checked in with USCIS, there is nothing you can do right now so try to relax, even though its really hard.  Did you get signature confirmation etc on your package so you know 100% that it got delivered?

Then all you can do it wait. If they have it,  you'll get a response sooner or later. Check in with them every once in a while to see if they have anything in the system but you'll hear something any day I think :)

YAY!! Crazy how they charged our cards the same day after waiting this long 😂😂 And no, I did not see any feedback other than that but I know that the texts/emails usually come a few days after so we should get something next week and then the physical NOA a few days after that.

What a relief for both of us. Now we can relax over the weekend!! 😄

Have you gotten any notifications by snail mail yet? I got just the 797 Rejection Notice for using the old 765 form. But i haven't gotten any receipts for the other three that were accepted (but i got texts for each of them).

I'm asking because I want to resend the 765 using the new form. One of the required pieces of documentation is the receipt for the 485 (to prove that i don't have to pay for the 765).

Just curious if you've gotten paper receipts yet. Like it or not we are now in this together until we have the green cards in our hands 😂

I got the rejection notice for the 765 form yesterday but did not get the physical receipts for the accepted forms yet. I got the texts as well though.

So I am in the same boat as you, just waiting for the notices to get here so that I can refile the I-765 asap 😂 Hopefully they'll be here by the end of next week.

Very true. We have pretty much the same timeline so I'll let you know when I get them.  Hopefully we can get them soon so our EAD wont be delayed too much 😐

The USCIS fee schedule can be found here:  https://www.uscis.gov/g-1055

Currently, the PDF is the "04/01/20" version. The last item on page 7 explains there's no fee with the I-485, and in the middle of page 8 it explains there's no fee for the (c)(9) category.  I printed both pages and highlighted those two items with a yellow highlighter, and included them.

I included a copy of their I-797 rejection notice, and on it wrote a brief note that according to the G-1055 Fee Schedule the fee isn't required, and to please refer to the attached pages thereof.  My (wife's) return package consisted of: The green cover page USCIS included in the return, that copy of the I-797 with my note written on it, those two highlighted G-1055 pages, and the new I-765 form.

I sent it via FedEx to the South Dearborn address, and it was received the next morning.  As of last night, the I-765 status had changed from rejected to accepted, so they acted pretty quickly on the correction.

PS-  The I-797 rejection notice stated "Category C09"  or something like that, so they actually do know it's part of a concurrent package.

Super useful. I'll probably do the exact same thing.

Crazy how they changed it from rejected to accepted so fast. So they will update the original receipt number? I was not sure if I would get a new one or not as the green cover page does not include a number or anything that looked like they would be able to connect the two. I guess the rejection notice includes the number and makes it easier from them to connect them. Good to know!

So they will update the original receipt number?

Yes, at least that's what happened with my wife's case.  I'd created a online account at USCIS when I got the SMS messages from them, and then entered all four receipt numbers on the case tracking page.  When I checked last night, the I-765 status had changed to something like "We have your case; there's nothing you need to do now..." from the previous "Filed using an outdated form" message.

Also, according to USPS Informed Delivery, my wife's three paper notices are in today's mail (which means they'll arrive about 8:00PM tonight, because that's how pathetic USPS is now around here.)  The I-765 notice is of course delayed, but at least we know the case number.

It's nice that USCIS gives people the opportunity to return the correct form, and then apparently expedites the correction.

I got the rejection notice for the 765 form yesterday but did not get the physical receipts for the accepted forms yet. I got the texts as well though.

How many texts did you get? I got three and just ran them through the online status checker. One is for the 485 fingerprint fee, the other is for 130, and the last one is for 131. I didn't get one explicitly for 485 🤔
