Sent in the old I-765. Will our package get rejected???

Delivery by Fedex of UPS does not include a postmark.   The day it is received is what counts.   Since you used Fedex you could have had the package intercepted.  Too late now.

Looks like I might be able to intercept mine still so I’m going to give that a go and then resubmit it. Hoping for the best.

Our packet was rejected, and the lockbox opened the medical packet, and didn't reseal them. USCIS said we could just get the doctor to reseal them, but the doctor said she didn't trust any patients (it's a drug-testing place), so she wanted to reprint everything (and she charged us for reprinting). In our re-submission, we didn't include the medical forms because we were scared of it being rejected a second time.

Got it! Thankfully I managed to intercept the one so the medical exam will still be valid when I submit it with the new form but that's good to know just in case.

Note that you can keep it with you now and bring it to the interview later: "Applicants may submit the Form I-693 medical examination report to USCIS: Concurrently with the immigration benefit application; or At any time after filing the immigration benefit application but before USCIS finalizes adjudication of that application. If not submitted simultaneously with the immigration benefit application, applicants may bring the medical examination report to an interview or wait until USCIS issues an RFE requesting the medical examination report." https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-8-part-b-chapter-4 The signed medical remains valid for 2 years from the date the doctor signed it even if you keep it with you now.

Hello all, I am new to the forum. I mailed my application with the old i-765 form on 8/24 via UPS and it arrived on 8/25 9am in the morning. I haven't heard back from them yet. My attorney told me that it will likely be rejected. Not sure if I should resubmit again or just wait. Do you know how long it takes for them to return the packet if it's rejected? Thank you everyone for sharing. I will keep this group posted too if I hear any update.

I'm in the same situation. Mine arrived on 8/28 but was shipped on 8/25. I did not hear anything back either unfortunately. 

 

From what I have understood, they will send ONLY the I-765 back if everything else gets accepted. Do not resubmit until you get anything back, it will just create confusion with USCIS. 

I have my updated I-765 done and ready to go, just waiting for them to most likely reject it. 

 

Please keep us updated if you hear anything back from them! I will do the same.

Thank you for the response! I haven't received any notice, but my credit card was just charged the i-485 and i-130 fees. Will keep you posted if I receive text/email notification. Hope you will hear back soon.
