When did it change from “flatten the curve to prevent the hospitals being overwhelmed” to “control the virus”? We achieved the aim of preventing the hospitals collapsing under the strain of huge caseloads. I was not in favour of “lockdowns” but as the daughter of a nurse I was prepared to do my small part to ensure that the medical professionals were not over-burdened. How does Grandpa Joe think he can “control” an airborne virus?

The argument that religious freedoms are being abridged because signing in church is restricted at state and local  regulation is spurious.

 

 

At this point singing /chanting in ANY place where other participants are present puts people at risk. Opera, Jazz halls, busking,  Rap, Rock, blues all involves vocals, and are restricted. It's nothing to do with religious freedom.

 

The 6 foot rule goes out the window when one is singing properly (from the diagram). 

 

My brother is a minister and leads music every Sunday, with 6 people in the chapel and his congregation safely at home.

 

Difficult circumstances require creativity, innovation and perseverance. Some will persevere, others will whine and moan about "their rights".

If you need to go to church/temple/mosque to be religious, then you are doing it wrong. God (of any religion) doesn't punish people for not going to church itself. 

Making any claim of "we will make go virus away" or "we will make vaccine soon" is irresponsible and nothing short of pandering to desperate public.

I was watching news footage of a woman going to a large mega church (unmasked) gathering exuberant proclaiming "we are safe because we are covered in the blood of Jesus". 

Uuugh. God spoke to you and told you to put yourself and others into harms way?. He never mentioned gathering in small groups like the early Christians?
