Oh okay. I thought I could take the interview with my current passport then renew it before I leave the country.

No as they will not place a visa in a passport that doesn't have the required time period for travel.

Can you please complete your profile so we can give more specific information tailored to your timeline and country? Thank you.

They took my old passport. Could it be a problem at the interview if I can’t bring the old one?

Approved on September 9th. We have already the NVC case number but it still says "at NVC". Should I complete the DS-160 while then, or wait until getting the nvc email or ready status? Also, would you have a p3 copy for Madrid Embassy? Thank you so much!!!

Welcome to the thread. Two things. First go to the first page first post of this thread and download the PDF and read it so that you are up to speed on when and how to the next steps. There you'll have the answer to your question about "when can we complete". That question and the others that I address in the PDF are the ones that are most asked.

Second, we need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Do you have copies of the pages? If so, you can bring those, but you may just be delayed till you can present the new one with the old one. Just give the interviewing CO what you have and explain your situation. Trust me, they have seen this more than you or I can count.

:help:Please complete your profile we can tailor our answers to your embassy. It only can help you. Without it I for one just will ignore your questions as I won't be trying to figure out what embassy or what your timeline is. Those are critical bits of information that go into the answer to many of your answers. If you look at others, theirs are complete.

Thanks.

I just called and got my case and invoice numbers. There was no wait and the agent told me they entered it on Oct 13. She told me I would get an email when my case ships, but due to pandemic and Frankfurt embassy being closed they don't know when. My noa2 was sept 24. I'm happy to be at this stage😁

Hi everyone, I would like to ask if someone here knows what app to use for free call to NVC from Philippines

Ask the question in the Philippines sub-forum here: Find the resident guru @Hank_ who knows all about electronics, phones and calling plans to the us from PI. He's a good Joe (I mean "Hank" )

I just received an email from the NVC today saying that my case was sent to the Tokyo embassy. And the status on the CEAC site is now "in transit." Do you have a copy of the P3 for the Tokyo Japan embassy, Greenbaum? And the next steps would be getting the documents listed in the P3, filling out the DS 160, and scheduling the interview once the case status changes to ready?
