Was approved September 15th. Waiting for next steps

& @tavery Did you use the link in the first post here on this thread? There you will find the next steps. Waiting will leave you further behind. Good luck and stay engaged.

@tavery Use Hank's hand dandy K-1 guide for USEM. Everything is outlined in what needs to be done. https://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/us-embassy-usem.html

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of the conversation. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will better prepare you for your interview.

Hi everyone! I just found this thread and wanted to contribute. We also got our NOA2 on Sept 15. Lawfully notified me and I am so happy they are still processing everyone's applications. Anxiously waiting for the notice to arrive in the mail now and to be assigned our case number.

I went on the Ask NVC link to update my email but the form didn't seem to work properly? I tried sending and refreshing multiple times but there was no indicator that my form was submitted properly.

We are finding that to update your email your case needs to be at NVC so you have few more weeks to wait. But try again then.  BTW welcome to the group.

Thank you for posting the PDF! We also did not receive any letters or emails confirming our case was received by NVC. Are they still sending Welcome Letters at this time or will they only send those out once your case is shipped to the embassy overseas?

You should have received from USICS your NOA2. NVC sends nothing till your file is shipped to the embassy where upon they will send your case number and receipt number which of course is outlined in the PDF how to get it before the file is shipped. Good luck and stay engaged.

Can I take the interview then renew my passport? Because it’s going to expire in March. But I read this on the US embassy page so I’m not sure.

  • A passport valid for travel to the United States and with a validity date at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the U.S. (unless country-specific agreements provide exemptions).

March 2021? You should get your passport renewed now as it easier to do it while still in your country. Yes, you must have a passport with a validity date of at least six months. Yours already is not meeting that requirement.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Oh okay. I thought I could take the interview with my current passport then renew it before I leave the country.
