does this mean certain countries are scheduling interviews and issuing visas as normal? do you know if that's the case for any european countries which had previously been shut due to the travel ban?

Australia is, probably New Zealand too. European countries may have to deal with the backlogs from the embassies being closed so they may still be issuing interviews and visas to people who are waiting from last year

Yes New Zealand is processing, they never really stopped.  However I would suspect the European countries will have significant backlogs as many were closed for a long time.

To those that got NOA2 today, congratulations you are the lucky ones. 7 cases accepted of 37 processed, typical day as far as cases moved, but most of them were RFE related.

I think so. I would verify with the embassy. However just reviewing the data from here, the embassy in UK seems to be backed up.

Yeah, I know the UK is really backlogged. They haven't asked for any new cases from NVC since the pandemic began and are only starting to reschedule interviews for people who were already at embassy in early 2020. There's a new mandamus lawsuit being filed against them!

 

I saw a couple people over the last few days say they only spent about a month at NVC (maybe August/September NOA2) before moving to embassy from Paris and Madrid, so I'm confused if the other European consulates have already basically cleared their backlogs??

Much better numbers today, Less than 40% of the cases remain.  Sorry for no real depth in commentary; but its all scattershot and things are just working downwards.

Strong day today.  I think that September will scratch near 70% completion by the end of next week. High 60s would be more accurate.  Though as RFEs get resolved, more cases will be processed to completion (32 of the 44 cases changed today were accepted.)   Only two rows have more than 50% cases remaining with 3 rows making up over 2% of the cases remaining; No more rows make up more than 3% of the caseload, with the 28th of September making up the largest segment.

London seems to be picking up again, their cases were x3 compared to Madrid or Paris pre Pandemic so I wouldn't be surprised if those cities clear the backlog before London.

Average number of cases accepted per day this week: 25. If every day went at the rate this week went the remaining cases would be done in 8 weeks. Also posted the area graph after this weeks cases throughput; the amount of blue is getting lowered; the yellow would be disconcerting but its been holding at 20% consistently.  They have been getting worked on as they pop up.

After exactly 8 months our K1 visa finally got approved!! Hopefully things move quickly at the NVC! 😃
