hi guys, I'm just a little bit confused. I'm working here in Cebu.We filed our petition month of April this year. When I filled out the G325a I put there my employer's name , company number and my position and I filled out that I work until present. My question is that, Are they going to call my company for clarification? Who will be the one to call? and I'm also planning to resign as soon as I can get my schedule for interview but I filled out that i work until present. It confuses me. If they will call at my company, Are they going to call ahead the time of schedule? Thanks Guys...

Employment is not verified by USCIS in the process of approving petitions but the USC must later show evidence they can support their fiance. Have you looked into how you are going to deal with the I-134 or other method of verifying your ability of the USC to support the family?

I'm confused about this too - if USCIS doesn't call, then what's the point of the G325A being filled out by the foreigner? I understand that the USC has to provide an affidavit from his/her employer, show the past 5 yrs of tax returns, etc. to show that the foreign fiancee won't be a burden to society...

If USCIS doesn't call, then how do they verify where the fiancee has worked for the past 5 yrs?

2008

Aug - k1 issued

Sept - marriage

Adjustment of Status

I-485, I-131, I-765 sent: 9/18

NOAs for forms - all rec'd 10/24

Biometrics appt letter - rec'd 11/01; walk-in 11/12

EAD approved 12/22; card production 12/24

AP 12/22 approved; 12/29 received in mail

2009 3/6 AOS interview: approved!

2011 ROC

Submitted I-751 01/20/2011

NOA1 01/24/2011

Biometrics Letter rec'd 02/07/2011

Biometrics Appointment 2/28/2011

ROC approved 4/11/2011

To provide information for a background check. Just having someones name is not ussualy enough to figure out who someone is. There could be many people with the same name. The more information provided makes it easier to correctly identify a person.

Its less about specifically verifying that the infomration is exactly correct, but instead to match the infromation provided on the G325A to a specific person. With that, they can see if there are things not disclosed like a crimial record, or to make sure a person does not appear on any terrorist watch lists.

In short, they know what you put on the form. The don't generally care about where people work unless their jobs indicate a potential security risk. Unless there is some other reason to suspect something amiss. The G325a is biographical. They may use the information to determine whether this Jane Smith is the same Jane Smith that was arrested for embezzling money from BP in 2003. When they see that this Jane Smith worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland from 2000 to the present, they can move on.

On the other hand, if Abraham Seraj worked for the Afghan Secret Service from 1995 to 2002, there's going to be a problem, even though it is not possible to place a call to his employer.
