Your Flight ticket must be in the same name as your Passport.... you will also need to take a copy of your marriage certificate with you so that when you return to the US and get to immigration you can show your passport and your Greencard and your marriage certificate to link the names together....

Thanks Guys. I will just go to the Phils Consulate and amend my passport so that I wont have to worry coz I bought the ticket already under my married name.

Appreciate your replies. God bless...

Actually, it's a myth that you can't fly using your married name on the ticket (and green card) while you still have your maiden name on your passport. My wife has flown without problem to Colombia with a ticket in her married name, her green card in her married name, and her passport in her maiden name.

Perhaps you technically do need to have your marriage certificate in such circumstances, but I think you would only be asked for it if you faced an overly zealous TSA official.

In most Spanish-speaking countries, a woman never changes her name (on her passport or otherwise) when she gets married. The TSA officials in Miami must be very familiar with that, so perhaps we've just lucked out.

It never really made sense to me to buy a ticket in your maiden name since your greencard and all your other documents are in your married name.

Sure, the passport is the main travel document, but even if I showed my marriage certificate..that is signed in my maiden name, so how does that link to my new married name? Just the fact that my husband signed there with his (and now as well mine) name?

I think I will get a new passport as soon as I get my greencard.....lol
