I just read this  and I have a few questions for people who recently applied for AOS. Did you still submit diploma equivalency, and other proof of self-sufficiency? Or do you not have to do that now since I-944 is not required anymore?

Recommendation is to submit AOS (without I-944) ASAP before I-944 requirement is reimplemented by USCIS as the 2nd Circuit recently limited the SDNY ruling to only New York, Connecticut, and Vermont: https://www.law360.com/articles/1300811/attachments/0

I did not send the i944 and supporting documents on Aug 4th.

Applications accepted and got the NOA yesterday.

any of the support

I just wanted to clarify something about I-864 affidavit of support because in another thread you mentioned that it's a commitment of "10 years." In fact, the obligation can also last longer or shorter than that: http://www.i-864.net/how-long-does-the-i-864-support-last For example, if the immigrant doesn't work and they divorce after a few years, the immigrant can't be credited 40 SSA credits and the I-864 obligation continues. Conversely, if both the petitioner and immigrant work (and don't divorce), the immigrant can be credited 40 SSA credits in about 5 years which would end I-864 obligation by operation of law.
