Me and my wife just got an rfe for not submitting her birth certificate and translation into English but we both know for sure that we did. Do they get lost easily or something? We’re both wondering how something we know for sure we sent ended up coming back saying they have never received it. Any suggestions unfortunately with the whole usps and potential furlough of USCIS this isn’t the best timing to have a delay on something we didn’t even do wrong.

Any suggestions, advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Make sure you sent the right birth certificate. Long form, showing both parents. Check the reciprocity website to see what's an acceptable birth certificate for your country.

THIS.

And - sometimes USCIS just loses stuff.  Send exactly what they're requesting, even if you're sure you already sent it.
