Hi,

Hope everyone is well and keeping safe.

I have a silly question...

When I received my NOA for my concurrent filing (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131) the letter said Receipt Date = June 17, 2020.

I created a myUSCIS account and added all 4 Receipt Numbers to keep tabs on the status (as backup to SMS/email notifications :) ).  The Receipt Date in myUSCIS says June 26th, 2020!

Does anyone else have this issue?

Which date is correct?

I know it's only 9 days difference, but I find myself counting every single day and hour!  LOL.  The boredom of being stuck indoors isn't helping either!!

Thanks.

Does the Receipt Date actually matter or is it used/referenced in any way down the line?

It'll matter if the case takes too long and you wish to submit out-of-processing times inquiry: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

For I-765 and I-131 look at National Benefits Center. For I-485 look at your Local Field Office. That link doesn't provide info for I-130 in AOS cases. Just the general knowledge that I-485 can't be adjudicated before I-130 approval; most likely they'll adjudicate I-130 and I-485 together.

Hello,

The myuscis website does not work too well for us, either, as it has a received date for the i-751 that is a couple weeks after the receipt date on the old website and the paper receipt. Additionally, it hasn't had one update since June 2019, the date that it says it was received, while the old website has had several.

Good luck.

Wow!

I wonder why they have different dates ... The new website looks nicer, but disappointing to hear that the data is inaccurate.

Thank you. And good luck to too!

Well this is scary! You said that for the I-765, to look at National Benefits Center?

I would love for someone to tell me that I am not understanding this the right way:

Processing time estimates have drastically increased because of budget cuts: "U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services today announced that the agency will avert an administrative furlough of more than 13,000 employees, scheduled to begin Aug. 30 as a result of unprecedented spending cuts and a steady increase in daily incoming revenue and receipts." https://www.uscis.gov/news/news-releases/uscis-averts-furlough-of-nearly-70-of-workforce

I called USCIS and asked about this.  The lady (level 1) that I spoke to said it was likely due to an error or delay in card printing that's caused the dramatic increase.  When I persisted and raised the topic of furloughs, she said that it's not due to the budget issue at all.  She also said others have called about this and they are looking into it.

I dont know what to believe, but I'm hoping, like many others, that it's an error and gets fixed quickly!  :)
