Hi,

I hope I could recieve some honest opions here cause this is really bugging me.

My husband filed in my I130 since in August 2005 in Nebraska. and it was not fowarded to Califonia, so it was not acted upon all this while. So I called them up and that is when it was forwarded. I recieved an update online saying it was forwarded on the 28th of March.

Now my question is will we still have to wait in line and consider our "date of notice' to be the 28th of this month, or will they act on it faster since the mistake was thiers? They are now acting on cases with reciept date sept of 2005.

Thanks.

My honest opinion is that even though it was their mistake you will have the 28th for the priority date, and that won't change. The reason I say this is because they lost our I-129f. When they found it, about 5 months later, they still took another couple of months to process it. Maybe this won't happen in your case, but to be honest I don't have a lot of faith in our system treating us fairly.

I hope I am wrong.
