Congrats!

Do you happen to have a kid together (CRBA). Like others from the PH. It just amazed me that they gave you an expedite bec of an expiring medical record.

We have tried to request for an expedite too with the same reason but they just rejected our request.

Yes we have one son together and had completed his CRBA last year.

Nope, just expiring medical and during their interview the consul extended their medical for another 30 days and need to leave the country before Sept 03, 2020

Is this in Manila too? Weird, because I know a lot who has K2s too and their medical is expiring but haven't granted any expedite appointment yet.

If the only reason they were approved for an expedite is because they have expiring medical records and nothing else (Petitioner works in govt/military, etc), then that is really confusing...and amazing? 😅

Anyway, congrats to them!

It's really bugging me so I'll go right ahead and ask – what position do you hold in the gov't, if you don't mind?

I have never seen a K1 interview expedited ever since the Philippine lockdown for any reason other than the petitioner is in the military and/or they have a child together. We've been trying to request an expedited interview as well, but seems like all the replies I get are from bots.

Congratulations, by the way!

You can contact Boku because he said, "I have a friend a K1 and K2 applicant, the embassy emailed and called them for their August interview. She request for expedite." My guess is that only 1% of applicants are members of VJ.

For May, June, and July, Manila issued 173 K-1 visas, so people are getting interviews and approvals. Just not a lot of the members on this forum.

Hi! How long did it take for them to respond to your expedite request from email? I sent my request in last night for my fiance in Manila.

I ask this because my fiances medical expires on Sept 20, 2020 but I also did read that they are giving a 1 month extension to medicals that were taken in Jan - June 2020 which ours qualifies for.

I just hope they can get back to us in time for the interview!
