Did you finally get rescheduled with the field office for the missed interview? Same thing happened to me as the mail was sent to old address and I missed the interview. Called tier 2 and was told to fax a written statement to explain and request reschedule. It has been two weeks and heard nothing from the field office... not sure if they’re going deny the AOS....😭

We were finally able to speak to a Tier 2 officer who called the Brooklyn office on our behalf to explain the situation. We also wrote a letter with proof of our address change and sent it to the Brooklyn field office. We received confirmation that the appointment has been rescheduled, but have no idea when. We've been calling every week for an update on the situation, and they said there's no way to know - could be a couple of weeks or a couple of months. So now we sit and wait!

The one thing that really helped our case is that we had proof of us updating our address. If you can find the receipt number or an email from USCIS with proof you updated it and that it was a system error, it might really help you. Also, make sure you sign up for the online USCIS account - really helpful with tracking progress!

That’s great to hear!! Thanks for sharing the tips. My online status finally got updated today. It now shows interview canceled and notice ordered. Not sure what that means. What’s your current case status now? Did it say anything like  reschedule request completed?

On my USCIS case tracker, it says:

On August 27, 2020, your request to have your interview rescheduled, referral number [OMITTED], was completed.

We received an email which says:

On August 27, 2020, you or your representative contacted U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) concerning your Form I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status to notify us that you needed to reschedule a missed appointment. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

We have received your request to reschedule your interview. Once a new appointment date is set we will mail you an interview notice to the most recent address we have on file.

We have updated your address in our data systems for the case(s) you contacted us about.

We hope this information is helpful to you.
