Hello Forum,

I just became Naturalized on June 14th, 2007. I am now in the process for filing for my husband this weekend who resides in Jamaica. I reside in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. I'm so anxious! I find this site VERY helpful. I had a few questions in which every immigration office I called wanted me to come in a pay the min $100 for consulting. I came across this site and found the answers to ALL my questions and more in great details. I'm looking forward to meet new friends and share learn from other experiences.

Hi Tash, Welcome to VJ...you should post in the yardie thread..get alot of ur questions answered..most of the ppl there r Jamaicans or Americans on their visa journey going thru kingston...

Welcome to the board! You don't need to go to an attorney. Here you have good friends to help you answer your questions. I know, Jax went through Jamaica Consulate/Embassy. She would be a great resource for you.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

01 April 2010 - Biometrics Appointment (Biometrics done 4/7/10)

27 April 2010 - received I-797C/ Request to Appear for Naturalization Interview

02 June 2010 - Interview schedule

17 June 2010 - Oath Taking (Memorial Auditorium, Sacramento, CA)

10/01/2010: Application was sent.

10/04/2010: Application was received.

10/06/2010: Email received "Application has been received" & Noticed Date.

10/07/2010: "Touch"

10/08/2010: "Touch" & Check was Cashed

10/09/2010: NOA1 Received via mail.

10/22/2010: Status Changed Online "Request for evidence" It was for Biometrics.

10/25/2010: Request for evidence recieved "Biometrics Notice".

11/18/2010: Biometrics date ==> 11:00AM. Biometrics was taken On time.

12/03/2010: "Yellow Letter" Received.

12/06/2010: "Touch" Case Moved to "Testing and Interview".

12/08/2010: Interview Letter received via mail.

01/13/2011: Interview Date. Done, " Thanks To ALLAH, I Passed the Test.

01/18/2011: Oath Letter was Sent.

01/20/2011: Oath Letter Recieved via mail.

01/28/2011: Oath Date. ==> Done, I am a U.S. Citizen

01/31/2011: Applied for a U.S. Passport Book, And, U.S. Passport Card.

02/25/2011: Passport Book's Received.

02/26/2011: Passport Card's Received.

02/28/2011: Certificate Of Naturalization's Returned.
