We received NOA2 in the mail July 10,2020 and got my NVC case number on the phone   August 14th and status " AT NVC" didn't change but no confirmation email yet..

Once it's ready. What will I do? Do I have to call NVC to schedule interview or I should do that online.. How long I should wait before it gets READY to prepare for medical?

It takes forever now to process visas. ;(

We received NOA2 in the mail July 10,2020 and got my NVC case number on the phone   August 14th and status " AT NVC" didn't change but no confirmation email yet.. A confirmation email is not sent till the record has depart NVC for the embassy. Since ALL case files are on hold, you should not expect any correspondence on your record.

Once it's ready. What will I do? Go to the US Embassy Manila website and get the information that answers that question. It's all right there for you.

Do I have to call NVC to schedule interview or I should do that online.. Since you haven't completed your profile (I have included instructions on how to do that) we have no idea what visa you are chasing.

How long I should wait before it gets READY to prepare for medical? Once it goes to ready you can schedule your medical at SLEC.

It takes forever now to process visas. Processing times are little longer than a year ago but that is caused by the pandemic. From your initial submission of the I-129f, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) it has run a normal timeline. Once it hits NVC that's where all bets are off as embassies are not doing interviews.

First, I recommend that you become a part of the discussion in the sub-forum for the Philippines where you will get actual up to date information for USEM and not some other embassy.

Second, we need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Here is a good guide to help process in the PI. https://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/us-embassy-usem.html

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of the conversation. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will better prepare you for your interview.

Thank you for the reply.  Greenbaum

Here's some tricks to use when answering and wanting to quote someone.

First, when you use the quote button, go into a LONG posts that you are quoting and if there isn't a need to have the entire post, just delete a small portion of it, but leaving enough of the original post so we can understand what you are replying to.

Second, you can use the "@" sign in a blank reply box then begin typing the person's nick to bring up a list with their name and select their name. If it is done right, you should see a blue box around their nick like this @Greenbaum. When you use the @ sign you would use it in a blank reply and not a "+" reply.

Third is just to use the "heart" icon and select "thanks". Don't really need to say thanks in a quote. (using your example, you were making a comment and a thank you so the way you presented yourself is fine.

Please complete your profile. Thank you.

The consulate is still closed for routine visa services and has been for 5+ months.  The size of the queue in front of you is very long and will take time to clear out once they do reopen.  I think your chances of getting a 2020 interview are slim and getting slimmer each day they remain closed

YMMV

NVC doesn't schedule K-1 interviews.  Because consulates are closed for routine services, approved K-1 petitions are sitting there without being shipped out.

Even if you could schedule a medical, there would be no point in doing it until you had a definitive date for an interview, since they are only valid for six months.

Nothing much to do except for more waiting....

I agree...approvals since march are still waiting at NVC to be sent to various embassies...we not even sure of 2020

What number did you use to call NVC? I too am waiting on an email or to hear from NVC. Our NOA2 was in late July.

It takes 30-40 days from NOA2/USCIS to the NVC and then another 5-10 business days before a case number is available. "your mileage may vary" As I see it, you're too early to be concerned as you just past the 30-day mark from your NOA2. Get the PDF from the link below and join us in the JULY 2020 K-1 NOA2 to NVC to EMBASSY thread and download the PDF file on the first post of the first page for tips, tricks and hacks to follow your case to the embassy. I'll post both links below:
