Takes about a week or so to get to the NVC, 2-3 days to go through it, and another week to get to the embassy. It will take about 2 weeks or so provided that you dont get stuck in AP or AR.

That's about right for the NVC portion but from the time it leaves until the Consulate logs it into their system as recieived can vary greatly depending on the country. I don't know what it is for the PI specifically.

You can probably give it 4 business days or so to get to NVC. You can call NVC if you want to check for updates, but don't stress yourself out if there's no information and definitely don't let them scare you if they say it can take up to 90 days to process through the NVC stage. They have all kinds of standard answers they give. Here are numbers that might be helpful for the next stages of your journey:

NQUIRING ABOUT CASE NUMBER:

NVC Info (to find out when your case arrives/leaves there and to get NVC Case number):

Call (603) 334-0700 - press "1" for English then "5" to speak to a rep on the phone. Be ready with USCIS case number, beneficiary name and birthdate. K1 visas are NOT entered into the automatic system. Reps are available 7:30 AM - 12 midnight Eastern time. Call right after they open or right before they close for best results - during the day lines are always busy.

They'll ask for:

WACxxxxxxxxxx

Beneficiary's name

DOB x/xx/xxxx

And you can get from them the State Department case number:

[Embassy specific 3 letter code] xxxxxxxxxx

For the Embassy Stage:

The State Department is on 1 202 663 1225 then press 1,0,0 to talk to someone. You'll need that state department case number again. They can only tell you what the Embassy has entered into its computer regarding your case. And that information can depend on the Embassy and how the process things. The line is open from 8:30am to 5pm, EST/EDT.

Hi..

Like to get some idea how many days usually does it takes your papers from the nvc before they send it to your embassy.. Just got my approval of NOA2 last June 20

Thanks

We got our approval June 1st and we didnt bother to call NVC since we dont wanna stress ourself out with this waiting part again, instead we waited for the NVC Letter in the Mail which arrived yesterday (June 23rd) with our Case Number and telling us they are forwarding the petition to the assigned visa issuing post within a week. And reading from other posts, it does varies, can be a week... 2 weeks.. and we got ours almost 3 weeks...We actually dont know when our petition arrived to the NVC and depart since we didnt give them a call.. Now, we are gonna wait until we hear something from the Embassy (Packet 4) or check the Schedule Website once in a while for visa appointment. I think we're too stressed out waiting for NOA2 and we wanna calm down hehehe.
