I've attempted to call a multitude of times (easily 6, 7 times now) and it is literally disconnecting after the long menu. SO FRUSTRATING!!!

How am I supposed to get my case number? :(

I've attempted to call the NVC literally 62 times tonight. No answer so I have no idea what my case number is and how I'm going to find it out.  I am disgusted and defeated. @Greenbaum I've used the format again on the PDF that you provided on the NOA2 to embassy... will they email me with my case number? They emailed the last time asking to update the emails and told me they hadn't received it but that was very soon after i got my NOA2 date...

Probably to late they all dead from the virus there, its pandemic time.

If seriously, i called not to NVC but to US embassy starting from May 2020 till June 20 2020 every day, 3 times per day and not a single time reached them. As a rule after 8 minutes 30 seconds staying on, all i heard goodbye and line cuts off.

Called lots of times in July no success either.

Have no words to express only emotions.

Happens 😊

Honey you need to take a deep breath once a while. You seem to be quite anxious since you started this journey and it's only halftime now that your case is at the NVC. You'll get your case number and eventually your fiance will get an interview. No need to make this process worse by freaking out about it 😉 You got that!

I would be an idiot if I thought that they were all dead from the virus. Having said that you are correct that they are not open on weekends. Here is what is opined from thier website. For the current status always check the website for USCIS, NVC or your embassy.

Email (immigrant visa inquiries only)Public Inquiry Form
(Note:  the NVC is unable to respond to nonimmigrant visa inquiries by email or fax. Please see our Contact Us page for contact information). We ask that you make a subsequent inquiry only if you do not receive a response to your email within our published timeframe. Duplicate inquiries slow our ability to respond to you in a timely manner.

Phone (for immigrant visa inquiries only): (603) 334-0700

Customer Service Representatives are available from 7:00 AM to 12:00 midnight Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Due to high call volumes, wait times may exceed 30 minutes. Many of your questions can be answered in the FAQ’s section of this website. You can see the current status of your case or make updates by logging into the Consular Electronic Application Center at https://ceac.state.gov.

I had to email them 3 times to finally get my Case and Invoice number as each time I was responded to by a contractor organization

1st time: I wrote them asking them to update our email addresses and they responded -

"Haven't received your case"

2nd time: I wrote them to update our email addresses AND to reply with our Case and Invoice numbers (since I knew by then that they had received our case by timeline) they responded -

"Email addresses Updated" (No mention of Case or invoice numbers)

3rd time: I wrote them the same day I received the second response and asked again to send our Case and Invoice numbers and they responded -

"Here are your case and Invoice numbers - XXXXXXXX and XXXXXXX"

So apparently they cannot comprehend more than one concept per email lol, you have to break it down to simple baby steps for them. For instance they could not handle the idea of updating our email addresses AND sending our case and invoice numbers in one whole request, it required 2 emails over the coarse of 8 days lol.

Each response took exactly 4 days from time of sending the email to receiving a response (even on the weekend) as the second response was received in the afternoon on sat.

Lol I’m glad I got this message when I did because I sent another email specifically asking for the invoice number when I saw it. Cause the repeat of the email updating just gave me the response the email addresses have been updated as you said and nothing else. Thank you for saving me a couple days of frustration

I don't have any clue what you are talking about. I do not have the power to ban people. Take it up with a MOD. I don't know how you got that I was directly calling you an idiot. You should go back and reread what I said.
