Before the term "FIRE" became a popular, I was working on the old school term:  "F.U. Money"

I have had to use my FU money a couple of times, to leave bad jobs and abusive people.

 

I never actually have to say the words "F you." I just leave for something better. 

 

The confidence of having one's own money and being self-supporting is priceless. I wouldn't trade it for anything else.
