i have left that part blank (but used "N/A" for other sections). generally speaking, if a part has 3 questions in it (first name, last name, middle name) and only one of them is N/A then i leave it blank. if an entire section is N/A then i put N/A for every field (like employer #2 where there's only one job that you filled in for employer#1, or address #2 where you've only ever had one address).

HOWEVER, this is how i did MY application which i'm going to mail this weekend. i would wait to hear what the guys with more experience say.

When it comes to names, leave it blank. Don't expect a thoughtful employee to think for you, you might end up with "Jane N/A Doe" just my 2 cents.

Photocopied documents need to be black and white.

Agree.......Any text in a name field could easily be picked up as the name itself........no chance of that happening for a field left blank.

What about printed ones? (eg: I-94)

print or photocopies can be in b&w or color.  No restrictions other than needs to be legible

Honestly it doesn't matter. If you ever did a FOIA with USCIS you'll see that they scan their documents into black and white when they receive them and then work on electronic copies (might differ for cases that go straight to service center or field office). As long as it's not something that will become completely unreadable upon loss of color it's fine either way.

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.

Got it. This is helpful.

I wrote N/A for my middle name and nothing happened lol I don't think they are that dumb to add that to your name.

Maybe not n/a but certainly the word "none" has been reported

YMMV
