We've looked into international travel and have come to realize a few things:

* Leaving one's country is easy. Getting home may be difficult (quarantine, no flights or repatriation, etc.)

*Countries don't really want foreigners, unless they're coming from the middle of Antarctica. :)

*Any country may suddenly require a quarantine period or decide to turn you away. Vietnam and Singapore have been wishy-washy.

*Stay home, don't use Zoom, limit binge-drinking, and don't watch the news. You'll be together forever - be patient and safe in the meantime.

Yeah and find a new hobby that both of you enjoy... My fiancé and I found a web browser extension that allows us to watch Netflix together... So we have movie nights. ❤️

Anyone know of any countries that both can travel to right now?

Any help is appreciated.

I don't believe Filipinos are even allowed to travel domestically let alone internationally.

I would not travel at all right now.  Your just going to set yourself up for a potential headache.  I move our companies expats around the world, whether for business trips or long term assignments for years and I can tell you, its a landmine field out there now.  I mainly move expats into Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa a little bit.

In normal times, its easy to travel with a Filipino to other ASEAN countries as they do not need visas and the length of stay can range from around 14 days to 30 days or so.  Countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, etc etc where US citizens need visas (some you can get on arrival) Filipinos do not need.  However, this is pre-COVID.

Now, many countries have a travel ban on foreigners and some of these bans are already being extended into 2021 and many more are expected to follow.  Beyond that, rules and entry requirements can change instantaneously.  Its possible you could find yourselves stuck in a 3rd country.  The Philippines is trying to get their citizens traveling again but this would be mainly for the ones with work permits, etc and this still may be a few months away.

Im monitoring travel restrictions on a daily basis and my advice for now is if you do not have to travel then dont.  You also have the chance to lose any airfare from cancelled flights, hotel bookings etc.  Even on fully refundable and cancellation bookings, its likely this wont come back or it will take awhile as most travel oriented organizations are struggling for cash flow.

When travel picks up again, Filipinos seem to love Thailand.  Thailand may not allow foreigners to enter until 2021 but once they do, I would suggest there as an option and the other country they seem to love is Japan.  Japan did make it easier for Filipinos to travel there but this was pre-COVID.

Which browser is that?  We have been trying to make something like that work.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."

Wrong again

Most can't even leave their city let alone travel domestically

I'm a Filipino citizen, living in Manila. It is not the right time to travel right now. The regulations are confusing and differ from city to city. Both domestic and international flights are cancelled at the last minute and refunds take months.

Last I heard, Filipinos are not allowed to travel for tourism. Only for work.

Even if your fiancée managed to leave the Philippines, she would face another set of problems upon her return. She would be required to undergo quarantine and a PCR test before being allowed to go home. I have a Filipino friend who just returned from the US this week and was required to quarantine in a government-approved hotel, take a PCR test, and wait for the results, before being allowed to self-quarantine at home. She had to pay out of pocket for her hotel stay (approx. PHP 5,000/night at Seda Vertis), PCR test (PHP 4,500) and all related government paperwork (certificate of quarantine).

That's just for someone who lives in Manila. If your fiancée's hometown is outside Manila, after quarantine, she would have to find a way to get home, at a time when public transport is severely limited and each province imposes its own travel restrictions (travel pass, another round of COVID tests, etc).

The problem is that the OP is looking for a place to meet right now. Usually that means a place where they both can easily get visas, but now there is the additional restriction that Filipinos would need a permanent visa, or something similar, to even leave the country.
