We filed our 485 with 130 last june. my biometrics was taken aug10, and now uscis emailed me that they are to schedule us for testing and interview. How long will it take for the letter(noa) to come in to the mail and around how long do you think will we have to wait until the interview.

thanks.

Does the email say that your case is "ready to be scheduled for an interview", or that they have already scheduled an interview?

If they have already scheduled your interview, you should receive the letter within 2 weeks, likely sooner than that. Interviews seem to be scheduled 4-6 weeks into the future.

If they haven't scheduled an interview and the email only states that your case is READY to be scheduled for an interview, then you have may have to wait for several more months (hard to say now because of the pandemic etc).

Yeah, "Ready to be scheduled for an interview" doesn't mean anything time-wise. It only means that NBC is done with the pre-processing of your case (NBC is the service center that prepares cases for interviews). Now your case will sit there and collect dust until your local field office is actually ready to schedule you for an interview. All field offices have different processing times - some people wait for weeks, most wait for many months and some for years to get their interviews actually scheduled after their statuses changed to "ready to be scheduled". So like I said, time-wise that status doesn't mean anything.

You will want to look out for the status that says "interview has been scheduled".

You are saying that you sent 485 and 130 more than a year ago, last June, and you just got a notification that "your case is ready for interview"?

Just received an email stating:

Your Case Status: Testing and Interview

On September 3, 2020, we cancelled or descheduled the interview scheduled for your Form I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR ADJUST STATUS, Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxx

has anyone else received this? Is there a possibility that they’ll issue GC without an interview?

thank you in advance.

My PD is 2019-05-15, and the first time I got "we are ready to schedule your Form I485" message was last year September.

In July (2020), I received the same email as the one you've got.

And in less than 10 mins, another email was sent to me saying that "we are ready to schedule your Form I485."

My lawyer said that it could be either system error or USCIS employee error.

And until now I haven't got any updates yet.

I hope interview could be waived :)
