Visamedicals website says at least 5 working days to be between medical and embassy appt

my medical is 14/9

appt is 23/9

is this enough time?

I’m not unduly concerned but I’ve a friend panicking over his saying it must be 2 weeks between them.

You need to allow enough time for the blood test results to be complete and sent to the embassy. Worst case scenario, you will have your interview and the medical results aren’t ready so they will keep your approval as “pending medical results”. And then when they do have the medical results they will proceed with issuing the visa.

We did our medical within 6 days of our interview. Results were sent to the embassy online via an e-medical report. We picked up a copy from the hospital before our interview and took it with us. I recommend that you do this in case there is any issue with the online e-medical system. The copy will serve as a reference that can help the officer find your report in the system.

The OP is applying through London. The procedure is different there than Egypt.

Sometime ago but when I did mine it was all on same day, medical then wander over to the interview, we seem to be going backwards.

The actual procedure seems the same from the embassy website. Anyway, hope someone in UK can help.

I had mine 6 days before my interview. The medical team told me I could email the day before my interview to check if everything was submitted.

When I emailed the morning before they said it was in the final stages and not done, but that they’d try to push it through for me. Then they emailed again a few hours later to say it had been successfully submitted online.

I’d recommend emailing them to see if they can help get it done in time. I was emailing with a lady named Hannah V and she was really helpful.

Edit: Contact them through the email address on one of the sheets they give you. Message me and I can send you it 😊

This was the process back when I did this in 1997

medical in the morning and wander over to the embassy in the afternoon with the medical pack/X-ray

Yes, absolutely enough time.  After the embassy moved into the new building there was a period of time when medicals were not making it to the embassy for many interviews within the name frame stated.   Not sure if the hitch was embassy flow disorganized or if Visa Medicals quit using the courier after the move. Now the clinic sends the results electronically and two weeks suggested wait (during that time after the move)  is no longer necessary. The results should be at the embassy in 3-4 days.
