But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

The problem is they can't punish the illegals... because the illegals don't follow rules they make.

My friends laugh at how much work we are doing to do things legally. They suggest a plane ticket to mexico and a drive across the border is easier, cheaper and quicker. The sad thing is they are right.

Obviously your friends are delusional. Being married to a former illegal and going through the process to make him legal I can say it's definitely not easier, cheaper, or quicker. Nor was it easy for him to get here considering he almost died in the desert at 16. Statements like yours make me laugh at home ignorant some people actually are.

Well...I was under the impression the fees had been raised in part to speed the process up? I do appreciate it is a considerable "hike up" though from the previous fees .....Good luck with your journey though

what is fair about the new fees is that those stuck in FBI name check hell will not be bleeding cash for new EADs and APs. I hope these new fees make the process much more efficient for everyone, I really do.

... except for the ones that filed before the fee increase. (I have that right, don't I, that they'll have to keep shelling out for new EADs & APs, even if they're renewing for the third time in a row while their file sits gathering dust somewhere in namecheck hell?) THAT bit is most definitely not fair.

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

I think the fees are more than fair.

Its these people that have the "entitlement mentality" that really irk me.

"its not fair,....why do the fees have to go up", " I should not have to pay that much" , How come they get away with it"

Well lets look at this logically:

The USCIS is a self funding agency, which means that they get no money from the Budget.

They did exactly what I would have done, they analyzed the the real costs of processing all of our cases, added on a little bit because the President and Congress have told them that not only do they not get any money but they must waive the fees for refugees and those who are classified under the "temporary protected status".

Now, because they get no more money, and they have a mandate to clear the cases, what do you think that are going to do?

I think they are going to get the plugs out their arses and process these cases.
