This may seem like a basic question, but I can't find an answer in the FAQ, and I'm seeing contradicting information.

My husband entered on a B2 with no intent to reside, pandemic changed life, now we are filing for AOS.

Do we need to get a medical exam and attach a I-693 to the i-485? We have no access to this vaccination records. I have read conflicting information suggesting we can wait and give this to them at interview, and when we travel to Peru once we get travel permission then we could get the records and have the medical exam before the interview. Is it accurate they will process a i130 and i485 with no i693?

Thanks!

We filed without including the medical form - Same situation as you, but we couldn't get a medical appointment for the exam due to Covid.  We received a deficiency notice for the I-693 that states to bring it to the interview, or if no interview is required we will receive notice to mail it in.  Go ahead and file now.

Do NOT file AOS with I-693. It is NOT required to included I-693 at the time of AOS filing due to the time that USCIS takes to review all the documents before the interview. they will send you either pink or yellow paper that says you are missing I-693 and that you should present it at the time of interivew. Work on I-693 once you get an interview notice...which will be a long time from now on.

Correct. This what I did and I got that yellow letter some weeks ago. I am planning to take my medical exam to the interview, but because I do not know when that's gonna be now with the COVID-19, I don't want my medical exam to expire.
