Your going to have to find out what company your prospective school will accept for a degree/educational evaluation. 
 

When I applied to college here in Florida I had to send my high school transcripts to a company to have it evaluated and then sent back to my prospective school.

In our situation my husband only went up to 12th grade in his country (they have 13) we got his transcripts , if you would even call them that lol, and the adult high school he went to transferred the classes to what the local classes would be. He then knew what he had to take to complete his education.

I would suggest you talk to the admissions department of the Nursing school you have selected to apply for.  BTW, I received my Nursing degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock........good luck.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

The school I want to attend is in Arkansas too, would it be best to just get my GED while in the USA

I had my Canadian high school diploma and submitted it for evaluation. Do you have your high school diploma from Guyana? If so, all you need to do is submit that to a company that does educational evaluations. The company also needs to be accepted by your prospective college/university.

Do you have your GED/high school diploma from your country? My husband had a positive experience getting his high school diploma here. Our town has multiple options- GED, Adult High School and National External Diploma Program. I’m not sure how long it will be until you get in the US but you may want to look into the town you will move to and see what their options are to finish your degree.
