Still waiting

my fiance  had her  visa  interview at the Bogota Embassy back in sept 2019, she was told then by the counselor   " I have the intent to approve your visa"

they kept her passport and  a couple of weeks later she  got a phone call to verify her contact information and nothing ever since. Is the AP this long? when I check the status of the case at CEAC shows a march 24 2020 as last revision and a ready status . Also we have a baby boy whom by virtue of being the son of an american citizen already has his passport and citizenship, which we processed without any problem.

any thoughts?

That is EXACTLY what a Consulate Officer should say.  Sometimes, they say "Your visa is approved".....then AP results in something causing a denial or return of the case to USCIS..........unfortunately, AP can not be expedited......there is no solution other than patience.  Good Luck....

We have the same issue. I called the embassy last week and I got them to put out case in the priority list. So hopefully they’ll get working on it soon. But she needs to take the medical exam again because it’s been longer than 7 months

@Paula&Carlos im in the same situation my fiance has been on AP since January 2020 because they asked for co sponser i864 form which it has been sent a week later after her interview.They have her passport but nothing since January ,just couple ceac status updates.  How did you get you case in priority list?
