If you google Fifth Avenue boarded up you will find plenty of coverage... from the beginning of June. When that footage was probably taken. When there was looting. Does that guy say it was taken in August? Or do you assume it was because some tweet said it was?

I don't assume anything.  Just said things have changed.  And mentioned not seeing it on MSM (which I haven't).  It was in reference to when I lived there last year.  When were you last in Manhattan to see the differences?

Well I haven't been further away from Santa Monica than Pasadena since March, so obviously it's been a while. Last time I was there was... I'm thinking 2018? Things changed because of COVID19, of course, and the boarding up came from the spate of looting that rocked a number of cities at the end of May/beginning of June. There was a lot about it at the time, and it may just be that you missed it. Not only the boarding up, but how empty Manhattan is. On Facebook, many of my friends posted pics from March through the spring of empty streets. It was hardly hidden.

I sent my roommate from college who lives in Brooklyn a message asking if the stores on Fifth Avenue are still boarded up. I'm waiting to hear back. I'll give you an update. I know she's enjoying getting to do stuff I don't get to do, like getting a massage or having her hair cut. Museums are reopening there soon, completely closed here. In many ways, it's a better place to be than here. On the other hand, the LA area isn't suffering from the same spike in violent crime as NYC. All I know is I'd rather be by the beach in August than in Manhattan -- THAT SMELL. :dead:

Massages are one thing -- he is quite good at them -- but haircuts? I do not trust him, nor does he trust me. We are just growing out our hair like hippies now. His is now long enough that he could probably put it up in a scrunchie if he wanted.

Shouldn't she have ALL her hairs cut, and not just one?
