Hi, so I'm planning to apply another F-1 visa, first time I got accepted, went to college over there, returned to my country and apply B1/B2 visa (approved) and went to US with tourist visa and stay for 4 months because I tried to figuring out another school to go to and place to live. Why I do B1/B2? because if I stay that long with my F-1 it might cancelled my f-1 visa that time, so yea.

And now I already in my home country and already have which school I wanna go to and place to live. But I'm scared I will get deny since I stay too long last time with my tourist visa.

Do you guys have any advice? tips? what should I do?

Thank you!

Did you overstay when you were here on your B2?  If not, it should not impact you when applying for your next F1.

Good Luck!

I’m not clear, did you finish the first course of study you got the F1 for?

And - What do you mean you stayed too long with the B visa? Usually it’s 6 months entry so 4 shouldn’t be a problem. Were you given less than 4 months on your i94?

I finished and graduated from my college with F1 and stay another 2 months because my school said I can max stay for 2 months after graduated.

I got 6 months stay and I stayed for 4 months with B2 , but after I read online forums it says if I stayed more than a month they will ask me why I stayed that long.. I'm scared my reason that trying to find a school is not good enough since I remembered I told CBP officer that time I was only do holiday vacation..

ok, you’re overthinking this. They gave you 6 months, you stayed for well less than that, it’s not going to be a problem.
