Embassy/Consulate Correspondence re: K1s

Hi all. I am hoping to start a thread to see the various responses embassies/consulates have given you when inquiring about scheduling K1 visa interview and when it would resume.  As many have noticed, there seems to be a lot on inconsistency in the responses given from embassy to embassy, consulate to consulate.

If you have contacted your consulate in the past month to inquire about or schedule your K1 interview, can you quote or send a screenshot of their response?

Thank you ❤

There will be a lot of "inconsistencies" aka differences because when and how a specific service is resumed (e.g., K-1 processing) will vary from one Embassy/Consulate to another, based on whether the country is covered by one of the travel bans, the level of staffing that has been called back, the host country COVID situation, local COVID policies, etc.  It is not a "one size fits all" situation; what is possible in one country may not work in another.

Also very interested in this. It doesn’t appear that anyone has been able to reschedule their canceled K1 interview

Taiwan appears to be rescheduling K-1 interviews since a member had theirs recently, and New Zealand has at least declared that they'll begin processing Ks again, though I don't think we have a lot of members from New Zealand here.

That’s really encouraging to hear.
The news from Montreal has been difficult to take and really trying to find some positivity especially regarding K1s
