Case update after biometrics. Any idea of average timeline now?

Hello again everyone!

Just a quick summary of my timeline:
- Filed for AoS early March, got the first NOA in March, long wait before biometric notice, biometrics done on August 4.

Now, on the USCIS website if I check my case status it says "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview . As of August 11, 2020, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status...."

Any idea about the average time to get the notice/appointment since the update on the USCIS website?

Thank you,

Lilly

In my case it took 10 months. In many other cases it took only weeks. No one can tell as each case is unique.

Thanks for the info. Did not know that. And I can imagine there is no way to call the local office and ask info about the timeline.

You are lucky it moved fast for you, no RFE. Just be patient, it will come in no time. The longer you wait, the more evidences you have.

Hello everyone! I got updates for you all.

I did the biometrics on August 4 and, I don't know why, this morning I found my approved EAD and Advance Parole in my mailbox. Only after a month since biometrics, without any interview.

If I am right, I expected to be summoned for the interview as next step and then, once approved, get my EAD and AP. So, what's happened here? Does somebody know if I have been extremely unlucky?

Thanks,

Lilly

Congrats on getting your combo card. You do not need an interview for the EAD/AP. You should now expect your field office to schedule an interview for you and thereafter you will receive your green card if approved.

Thanks for the info. I was totally unaware of that. Thought the interview was due for the EAD/AP:

Anyways, it seems I got lucky too. Mane people who filed before I did, are still waiting for the combo card.
